But while the San Antonio Spurs clearly made the right decision in selecting Wembanyama, it was also a reminder that many were very high on Henderson coming out of the now-defunct G League Ignite. He was the No. 3 pick by the Portland Trail Blazers, and everything looked rosy
Henderson, however, has yet to pan out for the Blazers, although he has shown potential. A hamstring injury hampered him last season, limiting him to only 30 games. He did average a career-high 14.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. He still struggled with his shot, going just 41.8% from the field

He, however, has put in the work in the offseason, flexing an improved physique in a workout video posted on X

Fans, however, were quick to disagree, pointing out that it will be tough for the fourth-year guard to get touches with Damian Lillard and Ja Morant also in the backcourt

Henderson averaged a career-worst 24.9 minutes last season. As mentioned, his playing time might shrink even more with the return of Lillard from an Achilles injury and the arrival of Morant
But who knows? Playing in a new system under coach Micah Nori could unleash Henderson
