Keke Palmer is speaking at Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival. The multihyphenate will be hosting a talk focused on self-care at the festival, which takes place at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center. In partnership with Black Enterprise, Palmer, who is chief brand officer for Creme of Nature, will join Revlon’s senior vice president of marketing, hair & personal care, Chandra Coleman, Emmy Award-winning hairstylist Angela C. Stevens, Creme of Nature’s global brand director, Nikia Bowman, and Black Enterprise’s Selena Hill for a panel discussion about intentional living and stress relief.

“My hope is that everyone walks away with new insights, a little inspiration, and the confidence to embrace their unique beauty on their own terms,” Palmer said in a statement to VIBE. “I’ve always believed that confidence starts with owning your story, and for many of us, hair is a big part of that story.”

Creme of Nature’s two-day “Unstoppable on the Vineyard” activation is set for Friday, Aug. 14 and Saturday, Aug. 15, with a hairstyling pop-up where attendees can get light touchups, hair care and maintenance tips, hand massages and conversations about the future of natural hair care.  The following day will include a panel discussion on balancing professional and personal life with a restorative breathwork session led by integrative healing coach Devi Brown.

Palmer has been Creme of Nature’s Chief Brand Officer since 2024. The role was created for her, and at the time, she shared how much real-life experiences are what she wanted to be a part of. “I love a demo moment, a girl’s moment, a community moment,” she said in an interview with Essence at the time. “I want to create opportunities where we can get together and talk about how to use these products.”
