WASHINGTON, DC – MAY 22: Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. walks on the White House grounds on May 22, 2025 in Washington, DC. Kennedy was at the White House today to release a new Make America Healthy Again Commission report that blamed the rise in chronic illnesses on ultraprocessed foods, chemical exposures, <a href="https://healthylife7.com/how-maha-became-a-lifestyle-brand/” title=”How MAHA became a lifestyle brand “>lifestyle factors and excessive use of prescription drugs. WASHINGTON (TNND) —Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. just launched a new cooking show to help encourage Americans prepare healthier meals at home, tying the series to the Trump administration’s “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) initiative

HHS said the series, titled “The Real Food Show” will feature Kennedy preparing budget-friendly meals while offering nutrition advice and demonstrating cooking techniques designed to make healthy eating more accessible for families

“Thanks to President [Donald] Trump, we’ve flipped the food pyramid and put real food back where it belongs — at the center of the American plate,” Kennedy said in a promotional video on YouTube.

“I’m traveling across America, connecting with renowned chefs to show families how to cook delicious, nutritious meals with real ingredients and all at affordable prices,” he added. “America, it’s time to eat real food. Let’s get cooking.”

According to HHS, the show is intended to bring the Dietary Guidelines for Americans to life by showing viewers how to prepare affordable meals using whole-food ingredients

The show also will include guest appearances from public figures and other special guests, who will join Kennedy in preparing what HHS described as their favorite healthy signature dishes

The premiere episode, which was released online on Thursday, featured Chef Andrew Gruel. Alongside Kennedy, Gruel prepared crispy salmon cakes with apple, white Bean and greens salad “using simple, everyday ingredients that fit almost any budget,” HHS said

Kennedy has made food policy a central focus during his tenure as HHS secretary, frequently criticizing ultra-processed foods, artificial ingredients, and what he has called the nation’s growing chronic disease crisis. He has also pushed for changes to federal nutrition guidance and school meal standards, while promoting greater access to fresh, minimally processed foods

HHS urged the public to subscribe to the show online
