WIC services in Vandalia will move to a new building next Thursday

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) in Vandalia will relocate to a new building next Thursday
The Audrain County Health Department announced that WIC services will be moving from the Lange Building, located on E. Park Street, to 204 W. Washington Street
The new service site will open August 13
WIC provides services to pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children up to age five based on nutritional risk and income eligibility
The services provided are healthy, supplemental food, risk assessment, nutrition education and counseling, breastfeeding promotion and support, health screening and referrals to health care
WIC supplemental food packages are specially chosen to provide <a href="https://healthylife7.com/high-fodmap-foods-what-they-are-and-who-should-avoid-them/” title=”High-FODMAP Foods: What They Are and Who Should Avoid Them”>foods high in protein, iron, calcium and vitamins A and C
Besides the Vandalia location, WIC services are also provided in Mexico, Mo. at 1130 S. Elmwood Drive
Applicants must have an income equal to or less tan 185% of the poverty level and be at nutritional risk to be eligible
