Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason was spotted at PLYRS UNTD open gym runs earlier this week, putting his skills to the test against some of the league’s best talent. In a video posted to social media, Eason was seen guarding Oklahoma City Thunder star Chet Holmgren. The open gym session was littered with NBA players, giving Eason a chance to polish his game this summer ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Eason was one of 20+ current NBA athletes, with others including Trae Young, Klay Thompson, Naz Reid and Jared McCain.
Last season in his fourth year with Houston, Eason averaged 10.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.5 blocks in 25.8 minutes per game. Having signed a five-year extension this summer, the former LSU forward figures to be a mainstay in the Rockets’ rotation for years to come
