Pearl River County School District opens fitness trail

On Aug. 11, 2026, the Pearl River County School District Wellness Committee, alongside Superintendent Jeremy Weir and Lower Pearl River Valley President Clyde Dease Jr., celebrated the grand opening of the PRCSD Fitness Trail with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. This exciting enhancement to the original walking trail features challenging fitness equipment that welcomes up to 13 users at a time. The trail includes pull-up bars, an overhead climber, tricep dips, back-strengthening exercises—and much more. Thanks to generous funding from the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation and the skilled installation work of our PRCSD maintenance team, this wonderful resource is now available to our community.
