We’ve been monitoring a tropical disturbance (Invest 96L) that recently moved off the African Coast. It’s in an area that’s favorable for development, and most forecast models are leaning towards this becoming the next tropical depression or tropical storm over the next day or so. If it gets a name, it’ll be called Dolly
Along its path (down the line), there will be a good bit of dry air that it’ll eventually encounter… along with some increasing wind shear (stronger upper level winds). Depending on how strong it can become before this happens, it may or may not be able to make it through that upcoming environment
Until it develops, there will be many unknowns. This includes us knowing if it’ll be a U.S. threat. So, stay tuned to our First Alert Weather Team for updates as we have plenty of time to track this system
INVEST 95L
Invest 95L (well NE of Bermuda) is on its last leg as it encounters more wind shear. So, it’s not likely to develop. Regardless, it’s no threat to the U.S
