Mo. (KCTV) – Tracking local health trends in Kansas City is now just a click away

The Kansas City Health Department launched its new public Communicable Disease Dashboard Friday, offering residents, media, and community partners direct access to local health data

Developed by the department’s Office of Population Health Science and the Division of Communicable Disease and Prevention, the online tool aims to boost public transparency and community situational awareness

The interactive platform allows users to monitor reported case counts, examine trends, and adjust timeframes for local reportable conditions

“Public health data should be accessible to the people it is meant to serve,” said Dr. Alex Francisco, Chief Science Officer. “By sharing reported case counts in a public, consistent format, we are helping residents see the same information we use to monitor communicable disease activity.”

    • Updates: The dashboard will update every Wednesday with data from the previous week (Sunday through Saturday).
    • Scope: Case counts include diseases and conditions reportable to the health department under local ordinance.
    • Inquiries: Questions or data requests can be sent to health.stats@kcmo.org

“At a time like this, residents want to know the status of their community’s health,” said Health Director Dr. Marormation.”

Strava Is Now Forcing Premium Users to See Its AI Workout Summaries (Whether They Want to or Not)

    By healthylife7August 28, 20260

You can’t turn off Strava’s AI summaries anymore. Sometime in July or August, the feature, called “Athlete Intelligence,” became a built-in part of premium subscriptions. If you have a free account, you still won’t see it, but if you subscribe to Strava Premium, you’ll now have the summaries stuck onto all of your workouts.
