BISMARCK, N.D. – Sanford Bismarck’s pediatric orthopedic surgery team is expanding access to specialized pediatric orthopedic care with the addition of outreach providers, offering coverage every week of each month
Trenton Sprenkle, D.O., pediatric orthopedic surgeon based in Fargo, is now providing pediatric orthopedic surgery outreach services in Bismarck. Sprenkle will see patients in Bismarck on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, increasing local access to specialized care for children and adolescents with orthopedic conditions
Sprenkle joins Brian Sauer, M.D., who has been providing pediatric orthopedic outreach services in Bismarck on the first and third Monday of each month. Together, the physicians will offer pediatric orthopedic clinic coverage every week of the month, giving families more consistent access to expert care closer to home
“Pediatric orthopedic conditions often require specialized evaluation and treatment, and traveling long distances can add stress for families,” said Mike Salwei, vice president of operations, Sanford Bismarck. “By expanding outreach services in Bismarck, we’re making it easier for children to receive high-quality orthopedic care close to home.”
Sanford Health’s pediatric orthopedic team cares for a wide range of conditions affecting bones, joints, muscles and the spine in infants, children and adolescents. Expanded outreach services help ensure timely access to consultations, follow-up appointments and treatment planning while reducing travel demands on patients and families
The enhanced outreach schedule reflects Sanford Health’s ongoing commitment to increasing access to specialized pediatric care across North Dakota and meeting the growing needs of patients throughout the region
