Axon is fully stocked with weights, equipment, and a variety of different exercise machines, ensuring patrons can work out in whatever way works best for their needs.
TIFTON — Recently opened fitness center Axon Performance aims to bring a new approach to fitness, health, and wellness
Proclaiming to be “more than a gym,” the facility hopes to offer patrons a well-rounded health and fitness experience that combines exercise, weightlifting, and bodybuilding services typical of fitness centers with services and treatments like red-light therapy and flexology to promote recovery, strength, and longevity
Co-owners Teresa Conner and Jordan Roman opened the fitness center only a month ago, acquiring the space from the former Tifton Fitness. They were motivated by personal experience and aspirations
Conner reported that she drew upon her own fitness journey, citing a perceived lack of attention towards women within the health and fitness sphere that she sought to remedy. She stated that Roman, her personal trainer, had expressed a desire to share his vision for fitness with the public, drawing heavily upon his passion for biomechanics
“This has been a dream in the making — we have been discussing some fitness gaps within the area for quite some time,” Conner said. “The opportunity arose for us to create a gym that would fill in those gaps, and with Jordan’s expertise, that’s what we’ve done.”
The two owners, joined by their staff and the local chamber of commerce, celebrated the grand opening of the fitness center earlier this week, treating the community to refreshments and giveaways for memberships and services
Conner expressed her thorough appreciation for Tifton’s immense interest in Axon even after only a month of operation, and confirmed she and Roman were already considering expansions as a result
She hoped they would be able to update their range of services, either through new offerings or extensions to existing programs, within the next six months
Axon Performance is located at 130 Hunt Road, Unit B7, and is open Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, contact (229)-360-6228, or visit axpfit.com
