Brandon and Shauna Ward purchased the former Loft Energy and Nutrition space in Andover and decided to change a few things up, including renaming it Elevate Nutrition.

The Loft is looking a little different lately, with an expanded menu, expanded hours and even a new name

The former Loft Energy and Nutrition space in Andover is now called Elevate Nutrition after its new owners, husband and wife duo Brandon and Shauna Ward, purchased the business and decided to change a few things up

Originally from Hutchinson but now residing in Wichita, the couple each has a full-time job on top of now owning the business. The interest in Herbalife products, the products used in the Wards’ nutrition shop, started for Shauna Ward around 2020

“There was a store that had opened in Hutch, and I was going there frequently because I worked close and fell in love with the product,” she said. “Then they had changed ownership, so that’s when I kind of started ordering my own (products).”

Someone they knew took over a location that closed, and that’s when they started considering opening their own. When the opportunity to purchase The Loft came up, it was a no-brainer

“I don’t know that there was any convincing (to purchase) because we had been talking about it,” Shauna Ward said. “We had looked at other locations to possibly open a new one, which is probably still in our future. But this opportunity came up and we said, ‘Okay, let’s shift and do this one first, and then continue to expand from there.’ “

In addition to the new name, Elevate Nutrition now also has an expanded menu and expanded hours, feedback that they had received once they purchased the location

“That’s one thing we really want to get out there too is that there are going to be consistent hours (and an) expanded menu,” Ward said

The menu includes a variety of shakes and teas, with July’s specials including a key lime pie shake, blueberry cheesecake shake, passion pop tea and more. People can also come in and ask for certain flavors and can have a drink made just for them

As for the new name, Ward said it’s a “little edgier” than what it was before

The couple still has some decisions to make. What is now an empty area used for a kids play space could change

“My vision would be to offer some area for people to come in and work if they want, or kids and teenagers to come in and use it for study areas and work on projects together,” Ward said

But overall, she wants to keep the family feel of the shop. That’s especially important for the Wards, who have four kids, two of which work in the shop

“That’s why we enjoy having our girls in here and being in here, it’s just giving it that feel for the community,” Ward said

You can visit Elevate Nutrition Monday through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is at 742 N. Andover Road in Suite 3
