Spanning four floors in Cheung Sha Wan, the new office brings together people, technology and sustainable design to support employees, clients, and communities in a future-ready environment

Global infrastructure consulting firm AECOM has officially opened its new Hong Kong office and Asia headquarters in Cheung Sha Wan, marking the company’s largest office investment in Asia to date

Located at 83 King Lam Street, the new workplace spans approximately 126,000 gross square feet across four floors, bringing together people, technology, and sustainable design to foster innovation, collaboration, and multidisciplinary teamwork in a future-ready environment

The opening ceremony was attended by Jill Hudkins, Global Chief Executive of AECOM Advisory, alongside clients, business partners, and employees

Built around AECOM’s ‘Freedom to Grow’ framework, the new office supports flexible and performance-led ways of working through innovation spaces and technology-enabled environments designed for focused work, project delivery, hybrid meetings, collaboration, co-creation, knowledge sharing, and client engagement

The new headquarters also incorporates a number of sustainability features. A digital dashboard powered by IoT sensors provides real-time insights into energy consumption and indoor air quality. The relocation also embraced circular economy principles, with more than 900 furniture items from the company’s former Sha Tin office donated to schools and non-governmental organisations

Employee wellbeing was a key consideration in the design. The workplace incorporates activity-based work settings, alongside natural materials, green walls, planted dividers, bamboo finishes, and sustainable carpets intended to create a healthier and more sustainable workspace

The move comes as Hong Kong enters a new phase of infrastructure and urban development, with major projects such as the Northern Metropolis and SKYTOPIA expected to shape the city’s future growth trajectory

According to AECOM, the new headquarters underlines its commitment to Hong Kong while strengthening its ability to support local clients through expertise drawn from across Asia

Ian Chung, Chief Executive of AECOM’s Asia region, said: “This new workplace will strengthen collaboration and innovation across our teams, enabling us to support the opportunities ahead and continue growing future Hong Kong together with our clients and partners.”

Johnny Cheuk, executive leader, Hong Kong, AECOM, added: “This future-ready workplace will help us bring together the talent and expertise needed to shape Hong Kong’s next chapter of growth.”
