Up to 70 women will take part Broughton Sanctuary’s Avalon Wellbeing Centre in Yorkshire, UK, will host its first women’s wellbeing retreat called Sanctuary of She, for up to 70 women Curated by the centre’s co-founder and an embodiment facilitator, Paris Tempest, the four-night gathering will run between 14-18 October. The programming allows for both intimate professionally supported experiences as well as festival-style celebrations The retreat is expected to run annually and has been introduced to meet demand for experiences that “move beyond self-care towards collective healing and authentic connection,” This new retreat will help guests transform and connect with themselves Tempest told Spa Business: “There’s something profoundly powerful about women coming together. Throughout history, women have gathered to share stories, mark life’s transitions, support one another and reconnect with what truly matters. In today’s fast-paced world, many of us have become disconnected from our bodies, our intuition, nature and each other. Sanctuary of She was born from a desire to create a space where women can return to that deeper sense of connection “As the wellbeing industry continues to grow, we felt there was an opportunity to create something with greater depth, intention and quality. We wanted to bring together exceptional teachers and practitioners across a diverse range of disciplines, while giving women the freedom to follow what they most need. Sanctuary of She blends the held, nurturing nature of a retreat with the choice and inspiration of a festival, where ceremony, movement, creativity and conversation sit alongside moments of stillness and rest. Ultimately, our hope is that every woman leaves not feeling like she has become someone new, but remembering more fully who she already is.” The agenda features workshops, fire ceremonies, movement, singing circles, storytelling, creative practices and forest bathing, woodland sauna rituals and sound journeys – all exploring themes of “wild, womb and wisdom” Speakers and facilitators on women’s wisdom, mythology and healing will lead sessions. - wellness entrepreneur and founder of Wilding Tribe, Fee Drummond
- somatic movement practitioner Sally Fazeli
- musician Aliya
