The Accountant General of Anambra State, Mr Joachin Achor has urged women to emulate the wife of the state governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo in promoting physical fitness and raising awareness on healthy eating and disease prevention
Achor, who made the call in Awka while commending Mrs Soludo for wining the 2026 BudgiT Active Citizens Award in Health Activism, described the award as a significant national endorsement of a vision she has quietly nurtured over the past twenty years
The Accountant General observed that the award highlights her work in preventive healthcare, community wellness, public health advocacy throughout the “Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo Initiative”
Achor said he is proud of Dr Nonye Soludo, noting that she has again brought Anambra to national limelight by winning the 2026 BudgiT Active Citizens Award which confirms that meaningful changes grow steadily through consistency, compassion,and purposeful service
According to him, Dr. Soludo deserved the award because through her NGO , the Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo, she has delivered measurable and sustainable impact in various communities across the state and shown nationally that Anambra is a model for promoting healthy lifestyle
