    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Neighborhood Health will be hosting a free back-to-school health event for families to have free physicals and vaccinations

    On Saturday, July 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Neighborhood Health will have the event at their newly remodeled Inglewood clinic at 3904 Gallatin Pike

    Neighborhood Health said appointments are requested by calling 615-227-3000. They added that insurance is not required and that everyone is welcome

    The clinic said children in Tennessee entering Kindergarten and 7th grade are required to show proof of vaccination before starting school

    Neighborhood Health is a private nonprofit network of centers that has served Middle Tennessee for nearly 50 years without regard to their insurance status or their ability to pay

    Neighborhood Health provides the following services:

    • Medical Health:
      • Women’s health and family planning including screenings for breast, cervical cancer and pap smears. They also offer pregnancy testing, many types of birth control, prenatal care and pediatric care.
      • Sexual Health Services including STI testing and treatment, offering pre-exposure prophylaxis and HIV support
      • Senior care including primary care, preventative care, medication reviews, management of long-term conditions
      • Diabetes and hypertension support
      • Flu shots
    • Behavioral Health:
      • Opioid use assistance helping manage withdrawal symptoms, reduce cravings and prevent relapse
    • Dental Health:
      • Offered at Cleveland Park, Napier Place and Welshwood, the clinic offers the following:
        • Emergency same-day care
        • Pain management assessments
        • X-rays
        • Routine cleanings
        • Extractions
        • Fillings
        • Partial Dentures
        • Specialty referrals
    • LGBTQ health services
    • Homeless health services
