Vancouver girl Cobie Smulders, known for numerous popular roles, recently posted a new ad, which serves as a bit of a love letter as well as a survival guide for the city
In the video, titled “How to Recouver in Vancouver,” Smulders goes over the various ways to interact with the city, and also how NOT to interact with the city
The video has thousands of likes just over an hour after being posted, and has lots of comments with people talking about how much they love, and for those no longer here, how much they miss Vancouver
The video is broken up into different lessons, with lesson 1 called “Being in Nature.”
“If you need a reminder to touch grass, Vancouver can help,” Smulders says
The first lesson is a celebration of how intermingled Vancouver is with the surrounding nature, showcasing a shot of the Seawall, showing buildings on one side, and the forests and Seawall path on the other
“You can go from the beach to the brewery to the top of a mountain, all in one afternoon,” Smulders says
In another portion of the video, she states, “In Vancouver, you might notice the urge to be outside,” before adding, “a lot.”
Smulders also discusses how old some of the trees in our old-growth forests are
The video touches on how easy it is to check out the local wildlife without having to travel too far

In response to the video that some honestly might find a bit cringey, people are loving it
“There’s a reason they called it ‘The Best Place On Earth,’” someone commented
Another person said, “Thanks Robin Sparkles,” referencing the hit series How I Met Your Mother
“I miss Vancouver every single day,” someone else commented.
Whistler Film Festival got a little cheeky in the comments, saying, “Gotta say, we love this! Even if it’s still 1.5 hours from the main attraction 😉.”
