Dionis taps goat milk for sensitive skin in debut baby collection

    Key takeaways

    • Dionis has entered the baby care category with its first infant-focused collection, centered on goat milk.
    • The pediatrician-approved range targets babies, toddlers, and sensitive skin with hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested formulas.
    • The launch builds on growing interest in milk-derived cosmetic ingredients for gentle and barrier-supporting skin care.

Dionis is entering the baby care category with a debut infant collection — Dionis Baby. The pediatrician-approved line heroes goat milk as its main ingredient, targeting babies, toddlers, and people with sensitive skin.

According to Dionis, goat milk contains many vitamins, minerals, proteins, and prebiotics that help soothe and protect delicate skin, such as an infant’s. The company also says it has a pH level very similar to human skin, helping retain the skin’s moisture while fending off irritation

Each product in the baby-focused lineup is free from parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, and dyes. Moreover, Dionis says that all formulas are dermatologist-tested and hypoallergenic to ensure they are safe for the young target audience

“Dionis has earned the trust of consumers by creating skin care centered around clean ingredients and the nourishing benefits of goat milk,” says Karen Minsky, president of Dionis.

“Expanding into baby care is a natural next step for our brand, allowing us to bring that same expertise to families from their very first skin care routine. We’re proud to introduce a collection that delivers the gentle, effective care parents expect from Dionis.”

The initial collection includes three main products. Shoppers can choose from an All-Over Moisturizing Lotion, a Hair and Body Wash, and a Baby Bum Diaper Cream. Both the lotion and wash are available in a fragrance-free option or a Lavender Sprig scent.

    Full-cream care

The launch comes amid a trend of milk-based cosmetics gaining traction. Dionis has existed and formulated goat milk-based products for over 40 years, but the company attributes its entry into baby care to sustained consumer demand for milk-based cosmetics

“More parents embrace goat milk-based products across the baby category, from formula to skin care, in search of gentle, thoughtfully formulated options,” the brand says

Personal Care Insights previously reported on the unique skin properties of young children and babies. Because babies have underdeveloped skin barriers, it is important that the products used on them are gentle and non-disruptive.

The industry has increasingly eyed milk as a possible cosmetic ingredient for skin resilience. In May, for example, dsm-firmenich introduced Glycare SK, a range of ingredients powered by precision fermentation, replicating human milk for sensitive skin.

Breast milk proteins have also been studied for their antimicrobial, antioxidant, and microbiome-balancing properties
