Dolphins to Bring UFL MVP Quarterback in for Workout

Despite the Miami Dolphins having their quarterback room worked out, they are not resting on their laurels of having Malik Willis and Quinn Ewers.

Per Aaron Wilson, UFL MVP quarterback Jack Plummer is set to have a workout in Miami soon.

Plummer went undrafted in 2024 after playing college for Purdue, California, and Louisville. He would go on to join the Carolina Panthers the same year and be added to the active roster in December

In August 2025, Plummer was waived by the Panthers, leading to him joining the Orlando Storm of the UFL. The signal caller would turn his season with the organization into an MVP win

As a member of the Storm, Plummer posted an 8-2 record, throwing for 2,189 yards, 17 touchdowns, and one interception. His passing yards, 195 completions, and 104.2 passer rating led the UFL.

Now, the former NFL quarterback is getting a chance again in the league. He worked out with the San Francisco 49ers and has the Dolphins scheduled soon

As stated above, the Dolphins may have their starter and backup figured out, but <a href="https://healthylife7.com/beyond-self-care-workplace-approaches-to-mental-health/” title=”Beyond Self-Care: Workplace Approaches to Mental Health”>beyond that is a bit lacking. The current room beyond Willis and Ewers is Cam Miller and Mark Gronowski

Miller was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2025 draft, but he would remain on the practice squad and was signed by Miami in January 2026

Miller played for North Dakota State, where he threw for 9,720 yards, 81 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions

Gronowski joined the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa. During his time with South Dakota State and Iowa, he threw for 12,049 yards, 103 touchdowns, and 27 interceptions. Ewers is entering his second season, as is Miller. Gronowski is also a rookie. This leaves the Dolphins offense with some very inexperienced quarterbacks

Ewers may have started in three games during the 2025 season, but that does not mean that he is a pure veteran in the NFL. Even Willis only has six starts to his name, so the entire starting experience for the quarterback room is certainly limited

Should the Dolphins sign Plummer, he would technically be the bigger veteran by just one season. There may be more veterans who could also be signed in the coming weeks

Training camp is generally the time in which teams can take a deeper look at the depth and health of their rosters, and Miami’s construction thus far points to the team not wanting to waste time in bringing in more competition
