Fla. — The Miami Dolphins are reportedly set to bring in Utah standout guard Michael Mokofisi for a workout on Tuesday

The visit comes as Miami continues to explore options for strengthening its offensive line and adding depth to a position group that plays a critical role in the team’s success

At 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, Mokofisi, 22, started at right guard in all 13 games for the Utes last season and did not allow a sack

Mokofisi allowed just 12 pressures and 10 hurries in 2025

The guard’s combination of size, athleticism and toughness has helped him gain attention from Miami, which is searching for young talent capable of contributing at the next level

For the Dolphins, bringing Mokofisi in for a workout allows the organization to evaluate more than just his on-field skills

Coaches and scouts will likely examine his technique, footwork, football awareness, and ability to fit into Miami’s offensive system

Private workouts provide teams with valuable chances to learn about prospects while also determining whether their playing style matches the team’s needs

The Dolphins have consistently emphasized the importance of building a reliable offensive front to protect quarterback Malik Willis and create plenty of opportunities for their playmakers — notably running back De’Von Achane

Adding depth could help Miami strengthen its offensive line and provide additional flexibility when constructing its roster before Week 1 on Sept. 13

A workout invitation does not guarantee a contract, but it gives Mokofisi a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to prove he belongs

For Miami, the workout represents another step in the ongoing process of identifying talent that can strengthen the roster

For Mokofisi, it is a chance to demonstrate that his skills can translate from college football to the NFL stage

On Monday, the Dolphins returned to the practice field at the Baptist Health Training Complex for their first practice in pads

Miami currently has 15 players on its offensive line, with cuts and moves to the practice squad expected throughout training camp

The list includes Patrick Paul, projected to be Miami’s starting left tackle; Aaron Brewer, the Dolphins’ starting center; Andrew Meyer; Jim Bonifas; DJ Campbell; James Ester; Charlie Heck; Josh Priebe; Jamaree Salyer; Marques Cox; Jonah Savaiinaea, penciled in as the starting right guard after playing the position in college; Gottlieb Ayedze; Austin Jackson, slated to be the starting right tackle; rookie Kadyn Proctor, Miami’s left guard; and Kevin Cline
