Wearable wellness products are becoming increasingly popular as consumers turn to technology, textiles, jewellery and more to weave vitality boosts into their daily routines

From ancient practices of ear seeding receiving modern upgrades to jewellery that turns a fashion accessory into a health and wellbeing tracker, these wearable formats are bridging the gap between beauty, fashion and health functions

“Consumers are taking a much more proactive approach to their health, and as a result, wellness is shifting from something people do occasionally to something they want seamlessly integrated into daily life,” explains Sherry Frey, VP of Total Wellness, at global consumer intelligence and market research company NIQ

“That is what is driving interest in wearable solutions, from health trackers and supplement patches to ear seeding and wellness-infused apparel

“These formats make wellness feel continuous, convenient and highly personal.”

Katherine Ledesma, founder of boutique marketing consultancy Atelier Skye, agrees that interest is growing for gadgets and gizmos with added wellbeing aspects

“I think the appetite for wearable wellness reflects a bigger shift from episodic wellness [tapping into wellness to target specific needs or concerns] to everyday wellness,” she says.

Tickets are now available for the 25th anniversary of the Pure Beauty Awards, taking place on 15 October 2026 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, UK. “Historically, a lot of wellness has happened at a particular moment: you book a treatment, go to a spa, take a supplement, meditate, work out, etc.

“Increasingly, consumers want those benefits integrated into the way they already live

“Wearables fit naturally into that because they remove some of the friction.

“Instead of asking consumers to add another step into their routine, the product can become part of something they are already doing – getting dressed, wearing jewellery, sleeping or simply moving through their day

    Health tracking and hitting targets

Consumers are also turning to technology-enhanced tools for a sense of accountability, using devices like WHOOP’s fitness and health wearable tracker and Oura’s lightweight smart rings to keep tabs on everything from heart rates and post-workout recovery to sleep scores

“What is particularly compelling is the growing consumer demand for real-time optimisation,” explains Frey.

“People do not just want information about their health; they want actionable insights that help them make bet
