Garmin has unveiled CIRQA, its first screen-free smart band designed for 24/7 health and <a href="https://healthylife7.com/lead-by-example-in-fitness-mps-encouraged/” title=”Lead by example in fitness, MPs encouraged”>fitness tracking
In a press release on Tuesday, Garmin, known for its GPS navigation and wearable technology, said the smart band tracks a range of health metrics, including wrist-based heart rate, pulse, skin temperature, blood oxygen saturation (SpO2), sleep, menstrual cycle, and pregnancy
The smart band supports tracking for more than 80 activities, including running, walking, and yoga, which users can access by pressing its single side button
CIRQA can automatically detect and record various activities without a screen. Users can review and edit the recorded activities in the Garmin Connect app, allowing the device to improve the accuracy of future activity detection
It can be worn on the wrist or as an armband, depending on the user’s activity or sleep preferences
CIRQA offers up to 10 days of battery life
“We purposefully created CIRQA Smart Band for those who are passionate about staying healthy and active. With its discreet design and the trusted health and fitness tracking tools Garmin is known for, this smart band complements our lineup of popular smartwatches and wellness monitors, allowing users to transition seamlessly between their Garmin devices throughout the day,” said Susan Lyman, Garmin vice president of consumer sales and marketing
“Plus, with no subscription required, CIRQA Smart Band helps you stay on top of your health and fitness goals—and makes a thoughtful gift for others who want to do the same,” she added
CIRQA has a suggested retail price of US$ 199.99, or about P12,357. —VBL, GMA News
