    • A car crashed into a Planet Fitness gym in Lake Elsinore, California, after the driver suffered a medical emergency, causing extensive damage.
    • The driver, a woman in her forties, was taken to the hospital following the incident, but it is unclear if her injuries were a result of the crash or her medical emergency.
    • Despite the severity of the crash, nobody inside the gym was injured, and Planet Fitness planned to reopen later the same day.

There are those who believe that running on a treadmill in a gym is far safer than running on a street in the morning because there is almost zero chance of someone running over them

Now though, an incident from Lake Elsinore, California, proves that a car can indeed enter a gym and cause extensive damage

Footage of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows a white car ploughing into a gym and traveling 30 feet before coming to a stop

A man could then be seen smashing the driver’s side window with a gym weight

Apparently, the reason the window was broken by a gym-goer was that the driver was suffering from a health emergency, which demanded swift action

According to a report by ABC 7 Eyewitness News, the woman lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a Planet Fitness gym due to a medical emergency on Monday, 6 July, in the afternoon. Details about the nature of her medical emergency are not known yet

Fortunately, nobody in the gym was injured, even though the impact of the crash was quite severe. The vehcile is said to have crashed through the gym’s main entrance, smashing the doors and coming to a halt after traveling about 30 feet inside the gym

The CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department said that the woman, reportedly in her forties, was taken to the hospital, but it is not known if the injuries were a result of the crash or her medical emergency

Despite the incident, Planet Fitness stated that it planned to reopen the gym later on Monday. Bianca Myers, who works at a business next door, told ABC 7 Eyewitness News about the incident:

“I didn’t even know a car went through until one of my employees came up and said, ‘There was a car through the gym.’ That’s when I got up and went to see for myself, and sure was, there was a car deep inside the gym.”

People Questioned Why That Man Broke Her Window

Instagram users reacted to the footage, with some questioning why the man broke the vehicle’s window. Some reactions are below:

“I’m so confused couldn’t they have just opened the door? Why did they need to break the window? She’s obviously alert.”

    One user joked:

“This is why I don’t go to gyms 😂”

    Another user wrote:

“Lucky for her it’s a judgement free zone.”

    A user said:

“Truly amazing no one else was hurt as that area of the gym is always crowded”

    One user noted:

“Reporter said: they will be open in couple of hours was wild”

    One user said:

“That man was too excited to break that window”
