In Lviv region, the Summer School of the “Hear the Doctor” project has started for future Health Ambassadors

The Summer School of the all-Ukrainian project “Hear the Doctor” has started in Lviv region, uniting 140 future Health Ambassadors from 20 regions of Ukraine. Over the course of five days, participants will undergo intensive training aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among children and youth
This is reported by the head of Lviv OVA, Maksym Kozytskyi
During the classes, future ambassadors will deepen their knowledge of healthy eating, mental health, first aid, prevention of cardiovascular diseases, vaccination, and sexual education. In addition to theoretical training, they will improve their public speaking and communication skills to explain complex medical topics to young people in an accessible way
After completing the training, participants will be able to visit schools, kindergartens, and higher education institutions, where they will conduct educational activities based on the principle of “peer-to-peer”. This format allows for more effective communication of important health knowledge to children and young people
As Maksym Kozytskyi noted, five years ago the project “Hear the Doctor” started in Lviv region as a regional initiative. During this time, it has transformed into a nationwide network, through which over 46 thousand children and young people have gained health knowledge
The head of the region thanked the medical professionals, future specialists in the medical field, project mentors, and partners who contributed to the development of the initiative. Among them are the public organization “Bird of Ukraine”, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Center for Public Health, the WHO Bureau in Ukraine, and the Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University
