His criticism of the president, 80, came as a surprise to many as the “I Am Not Okay” singer has previously been friendly with Trump — though he has never declared a political affiliation
“We were told that the president is the highest honor in the world. When you meet a president, that’s a [expletive] honor, no matter if you like them or not,” he said during an appearance on his ex-wife Bunnie Xo’s Dumb Blondepodcast in December 2024 after photos circulated of Jelly and Trump looking chummy at a UFC match

He added, “There’s not a chance in hell that I’m not going to meet the president-elect. I don’t care — if I got a call to meet Joe Biden, I would have stopped at any point and met him.”
