Art auction
A silent art auction to support the Area 1 Agency on Aging is set for Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at 422 First St., Eureka. The event coincides with Arts Alive!
Over 100 select pieces of art will be available during the silent auction. Fine art donations, pottery, jewelry and wearable fashion will be featured
The public is invited to drop in and browse any time between 6 and 8:45 p.m. to place bids silently. At 8:45 p.m., the auction will close and winning bidders will take art home that night. Marsh tour
Friends of the Arcata Marsh will sponsor a free tour of the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday
Meet leader Paul Wilson at 2 p.m. in the lobby of the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center on South G Street for a 90-minute walk that will focus on composite flowers. The event is held rain or shine. For more information, call 707-826-2359

A dance featuring live music and “a great floor” takes place Mondays from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Moose Lodge, 4328 Campton Road, Eureka. Admission is $9

Bingo is played every Tuesday at the Moose Lodge, 4328 Campton Road, Eureka
The public is welcome and the snack bar is open
Doors open at 5 p.m. Early bird games begin at 6 p.m. Regular games start at 6:30 p.m. All proceeds go back into the community
BridgeFest nears
The annual “BridgeFest” is set for Aug. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 33717 Kneeland Road, Bridgeville. This event is sponsored by the Bridgeville Community Center
This family friendly event features alien and human games, a raffle, pies, a Kids Zone, a barbecue, live music, vendors and arts and crafts
BridgeFest is a major fundraiser in helping to support Bridgeville Community Center’s services to the 1,200 rural residents that live along State Route 36
