The organization will be hosting conversations with global nutraceutical leaders that will focus on the opportunities, challenges, and ideas shaping the future of the global health and nutrition industry. On September 8, representatives from the ingredients, botanicals, finished products, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, testing, research, supply chain and international trade sectors will discuss what it takes to build a more connected, credible, and resilient industry. Guests will be able to listen in on talking points exploring India’s growing role in the global nutraceutical ecosystem, strategies for entering and succeeding in international markets, evolving regulatory requirements, supply chain resilience, quality and transparency, botanical science, consumer demand, artificial intelligence and the opportunities for greater East-West collaboration.

“India represents a significant opportunity for the global nutraceutical industry. With its scale, scientific and manufacturing capabilities, rich botanical heritage, and rapidly growing consumer market, India has a vital role to play in shaping the future of nutraceuticals worldwide. We are proud to bring the Women in Nutraceuticals community to Bharat Nutraverse Expo and to support a platform that strengthens connections between Indian and international industry leaders. By bringing people, ideas, and expertise together across borders, we can help build a more connected, credible, and resilient industry and ultimately ensure that consumers around the world have access to safe, effective, and trusted nutraceutical solutions,” said Silvi Siddhu, Senior Vice President at Ujala Life Sciences and Regional Ambassador for Asia-Pacific for Women in Nutraceuticals.

Vitamin Shoppe Publishes 2026 Health & Wellness Trend Report

The 2026 Health & Wellness Trend report from The Vitamin Shoppe reveals where wellness consumers are spending their hard-earned money. Compiled from proprietary retail data across 640+ stores and an exclusive survey of 2,000 U.S. adults, the summary shows:

    • Liver health is the breakout category of the year – searches on vitaminshoppe.com are up nearly 700% YTD, sales have nearly doubled, and 59% of buyers are new to the category entirely.
    • Fiber is surging across formats – the category is up 20% YTD at The Vitamin Shoppe, with psyllium husk searches up 150% and fiber gummies up 90%, driven by gut health awareness and a viral TikTok movement that’s pulling in new supplement buyers.
    • Trademarked ingredients are becoming a key consumer trust signal – shoppers are increasingly seeking out branded, clinically backed ingredients as a shortcut to quality.
    • Transparency is a growth driver – Transparent Labs, which leads with fully disclosed formulas and third-party certifications, has become The Vitamin Shoppe’s #1 top-selling third-party brand since its 2022 launch.
    • The macro consumer shift is toward basics: sleep, hydration, movement, and diet top 2026 wellness goals, while the share of self-identified biohackers has dropped from 14% five years ago to just 8% today.

“This year’s report reflects the contrasting dynamics of today’s consumer, who is increasingly informed and discerning,” explained Sharon Leite, CEO of The Vitamin Shoppe. “Innovation still matters, but credibility has become the ultimate differentiator. Consumers are gravitating toward products that combine scientific validation, transparent sourcing, trusted ingredients, and seamless integration into everyday life. The result is an industry that is becoming both more sophisticated and more grounded in practical outcomes.”

    Gimme Seaweed Launches New Campaign

U.S. organic seaweed snack brand, Gimme Seaweed is celebrating their role in small everyday life moments with a brand new fully integrated brand campaign. Featuring the brand’s first live-action video ads, new photography, and digital storytelling, the new initiative was developed in partnership with creative agency George and produced alongside Believe Media. The campaign will run across TV, paid social, podcasts, and the Gimme website. The new promotional drive will highlight the brand’s evolution, quality, and growing popularity within the seaweed snack category with a Gimme. So Good. tagline, a callback to the brand’s signature Seaweed? So Good! slogan.

“When Annie and I founded Gimme Seaweed, we envisioned a future in which seaweed became an everyday snack in American households,” shared Stephen Broad, Co-Founder/Chairman of Gimme Seaweed. “Today, we’re seeing that vision come to life. What began as ‘Seaweed? So Good’ as a question has evolved into a more emphatic expression of joy, confidence and everyday relevance as consumers pack it in lunchboxes, reach for it after workouts, add it to meals, and share it with their families. This campaign celebrates those everyday moments and marks an exciting new chapter as we continue growing the category and bringing even more people to seaweed.”

RL Labs Facilitating AAFCO Pet Food Label Modernization Initiative

In 2024, the AAFCO Pet Food Label Modernization (PFLM) initiative created the requirement of a new Pet Nutrition Facts format for pet food labels. To assist manufacturers who have yet to transition to the new design requirement, RL Labs is providing testing services under the umbrella of ISO/IEC 17025:2017-accredited lab partners, with testing performed using internationally recognized methods, as well as compliant label generation, giving manufacturers time to implement the new requirements before compliance deadlines arrive. The company’s current compliance services include guaranteed analysis, nutritional panel generation for the new Pet Nutrition Facts format, and finished-product testing for health and benefit claims.

The new PFLM redesign aims to make pet food packaging labels more closely resemble human food labels. The upgraded layout includes:PetNutLabel.png

    • A new Pet Nutrition Facts box, modeled on the human food nutrition label, with nutrients listed in common household measurements.
    • A prominently displayed purpose statement on the front of the package that clearly identifies the species and product type.
    • An intended use/nutritional adequacy statement in the lower third of the Nutrition Facts panel that specifies whether the product meets AAFCO requirements for a nutritional profile and how the product is intended to be used in a pet’s diet.
    • Total carbohydrates and dietary fiber replacing the previous crude fiber measurement.
    • Substantiation requirements for health and benefit claims, meaning any package claiming joint health, coat condition, or digestive support now needs testing or a feeding trial behind it.

“Retailers learn fast that a labeling deadline isn’t just a manufacturer’s problem,” said Sharon Vessels, President and CEO of RL Labs. “When a vendor isn’t ready, it becomes a category management problem, a returns problem, and eventually a compliance problem. The retailers and brands paying attention now won’t be scrambling as the deadline closes in.”
