A crowd of about 100 people gathered outside a Maplewood gym on Tuesday night after popular streamer Kai Cenat announced he’d be stopping by, authorities said
Residents on nearby Hillcrest Avenue called police to report that people were acting disorderly by blocking roads and running in and out of traffic, Maplewood police said
Police from Newark, Irvington and South Orange helped Maplewood police keep the crowd under control
No one was arrested and no one was injured. Diamond Gym said Cenat didn’t inform them he’d be visiting but an employee did call police when the crowd gathered, according to police

He left the gym at about 11 p.m. with Abdelhady and Saleh. Both Abdelhady and Saleh regulars at the gy, posted Instagram videos and photos of their workout with Cenat to their millions of followers
Abdelhady is a Nutley High School graduate who played college soccer at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken
Cenat, a New York City native, has more than 23 million followers on TikTok, 17 million on Instagram and another eight million on YouTube
