AI Programme Selection Sends Shares Higher
Pulsenmore Ltd. (NASDAQ:PLSM) shares surged 160% after the company announced it had been selected to participate in Israel’s Healthcare AI Regulatory Sandbox Program, an initiative led by the Israel Innovation Authority and the Ministry of Health
The company said it will receive funding through a project with a total value of approximately $1 million
Funding to Support AI Development
The programme is designed to help companies develop, test and clinically validate artificial intelligence applications within a regulatory framework created to accelerate the adoption of healthcare AI technologies
Pulsenmore plans to use the funding to enhance AI tools that improve clinical workflow efficiency while expanding the capabilities of its home ultrasound platform
Home Ultrasound Platform Continues to Expand
Pulsenmore’s technology enables pregnant women to perform physician-prescribed ultrasound examinations from home using the company’s handheld ultrasound device connected to a smartphone
Each scan is transmitted to a physician for review and clinical assessment
The platform is already used by several healthcare providers, including Clalit Health Services, Israel’s largest health maintenance organisation
According to the company, more than 250,000 home ultrasound examinations have been completed using its platform, creating what it describes as the world’s largest real-world database of prenatal home ultrasound scans
AI Designed to Improve Clinical Efficiency
Pulsenmore said the artificial intelligence applications developed through the project will automatically identify key ultrasound parameters and present the findings to physicians, helping streamline the review process and improve workflow efficiency
As part of the initiative, the company will collaborate with Beilinson Hospital, a member of the Clalit Health Services network, on the development and clinical validation of the new AI applications
CEO Highlights Next Stage of Growth
Commenting on the announcement, Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Elazar Sonnenschein said the programme “represents the next stage in the evolution of our platform” and added that the company’s objective is “to equip physicians with tools that enable them to work more efficiently, focus on what matters most and care for more patients without compromising quality.”
