The Sea Breeze 2026 international exercise has concluded in the United Kingdom.
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Naval Forces announced this on Facebook
“During the exercises, Ukrainian sailors, together with partners, practiced the full range of mine countermeasures, including planning mine countermeasures operations, searching for, classifying, and identifying mine-like objects, underwater mine clearance, and the detonation of training mines,” the statement reads
According to the Navy, special attention was paid during the exercises to countering enemy boats and air defense
According to the assessment results, the Mine Countermeasures Command of the Ukrainian Naval Forces successfully completed the second-level evaluation, while two Ukrainian Alkmaar-class mine countermeasures ships met the requirements for the first-level evaluation
“The results confirm the ability of Ukrainian sailors to effectively plan and conduct mine countermeasures operations in accordance with NATO standards. At the same time, the combat experience gained while defending Ukraine makes Ukrainian specialists valuable partners in the mutual exchange of knowledge and practices with the naval forces of partner nations,” the Ukrainian Naval Forces emphasized
