Aspects of the Tate brothers’ glamorous lifestyles were not quite as real as they appeared
Andrew Tate,and his brother Tristan Tate, are locked in a legal battle against an extradition order to the United Kingdom from the USA after the pair were arrested in Miami on July 18
Court documents seen by LADbible submitted on Friday, August 21, amid the legal proceedings revealed that two supercars associated with the brothers on social media were actually rented
In fighting the brothers’ extradition, their lawyers argue that they don’t have ‘excessive wealth and influence’, and that any wealth they do have does not make them a flight risk
“The government alleges that the Tates are a risk of flight based on their social media claims that they are ‘self-proclaimed billionaires’ who own high-end vehicles, private jets, and a custom $50-million-dollar superyacht and have unrestricted access to traditional funds, cryptocurrency, and bitcoin,” the documents read
To prove the brothers don’t actually have the wealth it’s claimed they do, the document states: “For example, the $2.1 million Aston Martin and $5 and $7 million Bugattis featured in Tristan’s videos were rented.”
The docs also said a valuation of Andrew’s watch collection is ‘based on a third-party enthusiast publication’ and that a $50million super yacht does not belong to the Tates and they were instead paid to ‘promote the ship on social media.’

It’s argued that the government has only supported their claims with social media posts without finding proof of ownership or funds
“The government has not established these grandiose claims are true,” the document reads
“Once again, the government provides speculation, but offers no evidence of ownership, only videos, podcast boasts, and a marketcapitalization figure for a
meme coin.”
The documents then indicates that the Tates need to promote themselves as rich on social media to help drive customers to their businesses, such as Hustlers University
It reads: “The Tates are engaged in several businesses “teaching” men how to earn money. It is in their interest to portray themselves on social media as uberwealthy.”

In a Twitter exchange with Greta Thunberg in 2022, Tate claimed to ‘have 33 cars’ including a Bugatti a w16 8.0L quad turbo and two Ferrari 812 competiziones
“Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions,” the post concluded

Thunberg’s post is still up and has more than 578,000 shares and 3.3m likes, compared to 25,000 shares and 201,000 likes on Tate’s initial message
The charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate in the UK
The Tates were arrested in downtown Miami in July by US Marshalls after British authorities issued 38 new charges against them
The UK’s Court Prosecution Service (CPS) charged Andrew with seven further counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and 19 additional charges for offences relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography
Tristan, meanwhile, was charged with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, the CPS said
The Tates have denied any wrongdoing
The CPS is now seeking to extradite the brothers – who are dual British-US citizens – from America on the new charges as well as the original 21 they were given in May 2025, with Andrew facing 10 and Tristan 11
After the arrest, their lawyer, Joseph McBride, told TMZ that the new charges are ‘ridiculous, salacious, and meant to make headlines’
McBride added: “What’s important to know is despite all the horrible allegations against these guys, they have been travelling the world the past few years without incident

“They have been making court appearances in Romania and not missing a single one. We are going to trial in Florida and it looks promising, If we win, the entire narrative collapses.”
There are now a total of 42 charges against Andrew and 17 against Tristan
Andrew has previously been charged with three counts of rape, four counts of actual bodily harm, two counts of human trafficking and one count of controlling prostitution for gain
Whereas Tristan was charged with three counts of rape, six counts of actual bodily harm and two counts of human trafficking
Andrew and Tristan Tate have denied all the charges against them
Malcolm McHaffie, Head of the Special Crime Division at the CPS, said: “We have decided to prosecute Andrew and Tristan Tate for further offences including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation and offences relating to indecent images of a child
“These charging decisions followed receipt of a further file of evidence from Bedfordshire Police and bring the total number of alleged victims in this case to seven.”
