A new research project from the Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI) has been considering the ways housing affects children’s health and development.

Researchers found that around 1 in 8 kids growing up in rentals have moved at least 10 times by the time they reach the age of 14, which could have long-term implications over their lifespan

So is moving house inherently bad for kids, or are there ways to inoculate them from the disruption?

    • Amy Clair, associate professor and deputy director of the Australian Centre for Housing Research at Adelaide University
    • Rachel Samson, clinical psychologist supporting children and families and director of the Australian Association of Psychologists
