Wildhive Callow Hall, the boutique hotel on the edge of the Peak District, has launched a new nature-led wellbeing concept – a dedicated Coach House space centred around thermal therapies, light treatments, movement and creative practice

The Coach House rests between the courtyard, garden, and potting shed – a quiet harmony of spaces where thoughtful design and stillness invite a slower rhythm, for rest, renewal, and rejuvenation. Grounded in Wildhive’s “Wellbeing in Nature” philosophy, the experience pairs time outdoors with simple, evidence-informed practices – each supporting recovery, deepening reconnection and allowing space for a true reset

“Modern life has pulled us away from the environments that restore us”, said Charles Randall, co-founder of Wildhive. “Wildhive Wellbeing is about bringing people back – to nature, to balance, and to a more instinctive way of feeling well. It’s not just rest, but true restoration – where energy is rebuilt through movement, stillness and connection to the land”

    The Thermal Journey
At its core is a considered thermal journey. Guests move intuitively between a Finnish and herbal sauna, cold plunge immersions, and the quiet, mineral-rich air of the halotherapy cabin. Alongside this, the Vitality Cabin provides low-level UV to help stimulate Vitamin D levels, a natural sunshower, coupled with red light and infrared warmth to support energy, recovery, and balance. Beyond, this is a barefoot reflexology path in the landscaped courtyard, inviting a slower pace and a heightened awareness of the ground beneath you.

Sound & Stillness in the Potting Shed
Inside the Potting Shed, the Gharieni wellness loungers offer a fully touchless, immersive reset. Gentle vibration and integrated sound frequencies move through the body, helping to release tension, support recovery, and quiet the mind. Paired with carefully layered acoustic tones, the experience encourages the nervous system to downshift – guiding guests into a state of deep rest, balance, and restoration. A quiet relaxation room offers herbal teas and space to pause, while upstairs, treatment rooms will deliver a curated menu of massages and facials.

    Self-Guided Wellbeing Circuits
To simplify the experience, Wildhive will introduce self-guided Wellbeing Circuits, allowing guests to tailor to their personal preference. These include Heat & Release (sauna and cold contrast), Restoration (light therapy and relaxation), and Deep Relaxation (herbal sauna, halotherapy and stillness). Each element draws on the body’s natural response to contrast and rhythm; heat and cold, light and darkness

    Movement, Creativity & Evening Rituals
Beyond treatments, the Coach House includes an interactive Technogym and studio space for yoga, breathwork and sound therapy, alongside a rotating programme of creative workshops – from botanical drawing to claymaking and journaling

Evenings will see the introduction of Twilight and Starlight Sessions, where the experience shifts outdoors – from sauna to cold water and quiet rest beneath the night sky. The surrounding Peak District landscape remains integral, with bikes available for exploring and direct access to the Tissington Trail

    A Wider Wellbeing Vision
This launch marks the first phase of a wider wellbeing vision for Wildhive Callow Hall, with plans for a woodland forest bathing trail, outdoor yoga spaces, a greenhouse for workshops and a limited local membership. In time, the concept will also roll out to future Wildhive hotels, including Wildhive Eshott Hall, opening in Northumberland this summer

Set within 35 acres of woodland and wild open space, Wildhive Callow Hall combines a restored 1850s house – with interiors by Isabella Worsley – with woodland Hives and treehouses for a more secluded stay

The wellbeing offering is open to both overnight guests and non-residents, with bookable half-day experiences available
