Neb. (KNOP) – A Texas couple is facing multiple charges after police said they targeted gym-goers in North Platte, stealing keys, breaking into vehicles, and taking wallets and other property
Officers say 28-year-old Corrion Walker entered a gym in the 300 block of East Fifth Street last Tuesday, talked his way inside, stole keys, and then broke into vehicles parked outside
Surveillance video helped officers identify Walker and his companion, 24-year-old Vanessa Sustaita. During the investigation, police also recovered a concealed firearm, burglary tools, and marijuana
Both were arraigned in Lincoln County Court. Walker faces multiple charges, including theft, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of burglar’s tools. Sustaita is charged with aiding and abetting and a weapons violation
Both are held in Lincoln County Jail on a $250,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 6 at 9 a.m
