GRAY, Tenn. (WCYB) —After losing her daughter, one local mom found a way to keep her dream alive, by helping other students pursue careers in healthcare
Hannah Harrison dreamed of becoming a labor and delivery nurse
She was active in Daniel Boone High School’s HOSA program, even getting to witness a live birth
After Hannah died in 2022, her mom Michelle Turner created “Hannah’s Grace Closet” to help other students follow their own dreams
With more than $6,000 from community partners, the closet provides uniforms and clinical supplies for HOSA students
“They’ve had great results with it. It’s helped many students. It’s my understanding. They’ve used funding from that to help students to be able to afford the fees and the cost to go to like regionals that’s out of state and these kids would’ve never had that opportunity.”
For community members who wish to donate to the Hannah’s Grace project, checks made out to “Daniel Boone High School” can be sent to Daniel Boone High School, 1440 Suncrest Dr., Gray, TN 37615, with “Hannah’s Grace donation” in the memo line
