Applied Nutrition PLC (LSE:APN) highlighted its revenue and adjusted earnings for the year to 31 July 2026, which came in ahead of market expectations, with the sports nutrition group also guiding above consensus for the current year
Revenue rose 50% year on year to around £160 million, compared with £107 million previously and ahead of the £148.4 million market consensus calculated by the company
Adjusted EBITDA increased 40% to approximately £43.3 million from £30.9 million, also beating consensus expectations of £42 million
The figures exclude any contribution from the trade and assets of Nutrablend acquired in June
Applied Nutrition ended the year with net cash of £15.9 million, excluding IFRS 16 liabilities, after funding the Nutrablend acquisition, expanding production capacity and increasing working capital to support growth
The Liverpool-based group said trading remained strong following its June update, supported by sustained demand across markets and sales channels
For the year ending 31 July 2027, Applied Nutrition now expects revenue of around £205 million and adjusted EBITDA of approximately £49 million
That compares with current market expectations of £186.2 million revenue and £47.7 million adjusted EBITDA
Revenue would therefore increase by around 28% year on year, while adjusted EBITDA is expected to grow 13%
Margins are expected to ease slightly, however, reflecting a greater contribution from the US, significantly higher whey protein costs and a larger proportion of sales coming from whey-based products following the successful relaunch of Critical Whey
Applied Nutrition expects to publish its audited full-year results on or around 16 November 2026
