Kan. (KSNW) — Grocery stores are certainly convenient, but many Kansans who buy produce at the Kansas Grown Farmers Market in Wichita say the fruits and veggies taste better and make them feel better

“This has more flavor; this has better flavor,” farmers market shopper Cheryl Huggins said. “And yeah, I think I do feel better when I’m eating more of the produce.”

Another shopper, Tammy Shipman, said she feels like she’s being healthy when she shops at the market

“It makes you feel wonderful by eating the products that you buy here,” she said

GLP-1s may work by activating an unlikely weight loss ally

Many of the produce shoppers said avoiding excess pesticides is a priority

“The fruit and the vegetables that I get here are fantastic,” Shipman said. “I don’t have to worry about anything being sprayed and bad chemicals.”

Don Miller of Don’s Produce said he has a “tremendous group of loyal customers” at the farmers market

“These people in Kansas understand what good stuff is,” he said

Miller grows his produce in Reno County and said it’s largely organic and chemical-free. He said his customers know what they’re talking about when it comes to freshness and avoiding pesticides

“Local grown produce is more nutrient dense,” he said. “It’s grown in real Kansas dirt and makes for a healthier product.”

Customers said they appreciate their salad ingredients coming from that Kansas dirt because that means they’re directly supporting Kansas farmers

“There are a lot of farmers here, and they’ve had some rough times on wheat and corn and stuff like that, so I support them as much as I can,” John Davis said

Huggins said she prefers buying from “real people” instead of a corporation that ships produce in “from God knows where.”

Another shopper, Donald Novak, said, “We need to keep our farmers in our community, raising the good stuff, so we can come and buy it.”

Kansas Grown is held every Saturday from April through October at 21st Street North and Ridge Road. Its Andover farmers market is held on Saturdays from May through <a href="https://healthylife7.com/beyond-trim-september-is-healthy-aging-month/” title=”Beyond Trim: September is Healthy Aging Month”>September at 375 S. Oh Well: Expectations, self

I wrote a column about feminism and dating and since then, I have been thinking a lot about exactly how it has evolved. Oli” has me thinking about the reclamation of femininity when it comes to modern dating. Disappointment can drive us to realize having expectations is not being stubborn or anti-man.
