TIRUPATI:Noted naturopathy expert Dr Manthena Satyanarayana Raju on Sunday called for a return to healthy and natural living, saying proper food habits, adequate rest and physical activity were essential for maintaining good health
Speaking at an awareness programme on “Health Protection through Yoga and Naturopathy” at Mahati Kalakshetram in Tirupati, he said changing food habits, lack of physical activity and inadequate rest were contributing to several health problems. The programme was organised jointly by AYUSH and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD)
Dr Manthena said natural food, clean water, fresh air and adequate rest were important for maintaining good health. He said people could avoid several health problems by paying attention to their health early and adopting healthy lifestyle habits
Bala Krishna, vice-president of Better Living Science, Technology and Digital Wellness, said emotional health was equally important for overall well-being. He advised people to manage stress, anxiety, anger and disappointment in a balanced manner
He suggested setting aside time every day for yoga, meditation and <a href="https://healthylife7.com/actor-activist-wants-sir-exercise-in-state-extended/” title=”Actor-activist wants SIR exercise in State extended”>exercise, besides spending time with family and friends. He also urged people to focus on finding solutions to problems rather than worrying about them
Speaking on digital wellness, Bala Krishna said people should maintain a balance in their use of mobile phones, social media and other digital devices. He said time should also be given to family, physical activity, nature and other aspects of life beyond digital devices
TTD welfare department deputy executive officer Anand Raju, SV University registrar Prof. Bhupathi Naidu, TTD employees and others attended the programme
