Chloe Bailey is getting honest about her weight loss

Bailey, 28, went viral on Sunday, July 26, when she shared a TikTok video of herself dancing to her song “Better Than She Can” while rocking a yellow smiley face swimsuit on the beach

“How did i do? 💃🏾 dance created by @Charles-Niko,” she captioned the video, which has amassed more than 1 million views as of Tuesday, July 28

In the comments section, one user wrote that Bailey “lost weight,” to which she replied, “I know!! my weight fluctuates but i’ve been working out hard since feb 😭 grateful i didn’t lose the booty this time though lol 😂.”

Bailey has been candid about her health journey, previously sharing that she used to be affected by online commenters

“I’ve been, like, really insecure for a long time, and I’m finally at that place where I have self-confidence,” Bailey told Taraji P. Henson during a 2022 appearance on her Facebook Watch show,Peace of Mind With Taraji. “I think there was a collective of [online comments], and I can’t sit here and lie and say, ‘Oh, I’m bulletproof, nothing hurt me,’ because it honestly did. And I think what hurt me the most was when I would see some post saying how I’m doing this for male attention, or I’m just trying to sell sex to get attention for myself.”

She continued, “And at first, I was really getting sad about it. But then I thought, ‘Why would I let that control my thoughts and feelings when I know it’s a lie?’ So I kind of had to give it not so much power. I’m not doing anything crazy. I’m just loving and appreciating my body, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.”

While Bailey said she had felt like being curvy was her “biggest insecurity,” she explained that she’s learned to accept herself

“As I’ve gotten older, I have learned to really appreciate my curves. I love my stretch marks. Every time I have a photo shoot, I’m like, ‘No, don’t airbrush the stretch marks ’cause I like them,’” she said. “I used to think that I wasn’t very strong. But I’ve learned that I’m a pretty strong woman.”

The singer concluded, “I’ve learned to say no to things that I don’t agree with, I’m learning to find my own voice, and it is so powerful and liberating. And it’s only going to get stronger and louder.”
