Wyssta Services Inc., a dental claim processing company, agreed to a $12.7 million settlement after a lawsuit claimed the company violated the Electronic Communications Privacy Act and the Illinois Eavesdropping Statute when it “allegedly installed and implemented advertising and analytics tracking technologies, such as cookies and pixels, on a website it operates for Delta Dental plan members,” according to the settlement website
The website included a portion Delta Dental plan members use to log into their credentials
Wyssta denied the claims and did not admit to any wrongdoing as part of the settlement, saying it agreed to the deal “to avoid the costs and risks, disruptions, and uncertainties of ongoing litigation.”

When is the deadline to file a claim?
Claims must be submitted online no later than Aug. 20, 2026. Mailed claim forms must be postmarked no later than that same date
A final approval hearing is schedule for 1 p.m. on Sept. 9, 2026
How much could you receive and when?
According to the settlement website, each claimant could get up to $16.50, unless the number of claims filed exceeds the $12.7 million fund, in which case the payouts will be reduced
If approved in September and no appeals are filed, check will begin “as soon as possible.”
