Radney Foster recently announced that he is taking more time off from touring after a battle with sepsis

The 67-year-old country music star shared the news on Instagram this week

“I have some disappointing news to share,” he wrote. “On the advice of my doctors, I’ve had to postpone all my shows until the end of September. After my first shows back, it became clear I came back too soon

“I’m still recovering from sepsis,” he continued. “My energy just isn’t where it needs to be yet, and I’m dealing with some balance issues that make traveling and performing unsafe.”

He added in the caption, “I hate having to share this news. My recovery has taken a setback. Thanks for your patience and words of support. I’ll see you back on the road as soon as I’m able.”

Friends and fans were quick to show support

“Get well Legend,” Rich O’Toole replied

“Most important thing is your health,” another wrote. “Your true fans understand and only want you well. Godspeed on your recovery and get back to us as soon as you can. We love you Radney!!!”

“You’re in my prayers friend!!!” Jennifer Wayne wrote. “Every day.”

There were plenty more comments like those and you can see them and Foster’s post here

Foster was admitted into the ICU in June while he battled an infection that led to sepsis

Foster was one-half of Foster & Lloyd in the 1980s before embarking on a solo career in 1992. He has released 11 solo albums with 13 songs hitting the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts
