The National Minority Quality Forum will be hosting a wellness and mental health workshop for Lumbee young adults on Monday, Aug. 31
The Woven for Wellness: Lumbee Young Adult Health Education Workshop is an interactive community event designed around the health questions and concerns that matter to young adults
Participants will have the chance to explore several important topics throughout the workshop, including mental health, stress, healthy weight, nutrition, living with chronic conditions and more
The workshop will feature Three Sisters Health & Wellness, PLLC, which will help lead a conversation about mental health and whole-person wellness, including how individuals can care for their emotional well-being while coping with cancer and chronic health conditions
This is an opportunity to ask questions, learn practical information, connect with others, and help shape conversations about the health of Lumbee young adults, families, and the broader community
The workshop, hosted at the Lumbee Regional Development Association at 2583 McDonald Road in Pembroke from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., is free, but space is limited. Reserve a spot at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/lumbee-young-adult-health-education-workshop-tickets-1997169434541?aff=oddtdtcreator
