Herbalife has just announced the results of the Healthy Living Culture Survey in the Asia-Pacific region 2026, showing a clear change in the way young generations perceive and care for health. Conducted in May 2026 with more than 10,000 people in 11 markets, including Australia, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Taiwan (China), the survey shows that Gen Z and Millennials are actively building a healthy lifestyle, focusing on physical, mental, emotional health and social relationships.

More than half of young consumers surveyed said their health and happiness improved compared to three years ago. Nearly 7/10 Gen Z (67%) and more than 6/10 Millennials (62%) said they exercise regularly, choose healthier foods, improve sleep habits, higher than the regional average of 57%

In Vietnam, this trend is more prominent when 77% of Gen Z and 83% of Millennials said they regularly participate in health care activities more than three years ago; 79% of survey participants choose a healthier lifestyle

Gen Z Vietnam is redefining the concept of living healthier

With Gen Z in Vietnam, mental health and stress management (46%) along with sleep quality (45%) are top priorities, followed by nutrition (40%) and energy, fatigue (30%). These priorities have been transformed into action: 53% choose healthier foods, 51% improve sleep habits, while 49% exercise regularly, reduce unhealthy habits

Gen Z’s health approach is increasingly comprehensive. Physical health is the most <a href="https://healthylife7.com/how-home-design-can-support-mental-well/” title=”How home design can support mental well”>supported area (59%), followed by mental health (53%) and emotional health (46%). Young consumers actively seek support and community to maintain synchronous health

Online communities promote the comprehensive healthcare journey of Gen Z generation

In Vietnam, social networks have a positive impact equal to or greater than friends and family. More than half of Gen Z said that social networks have had a positive impact on health and spirit in the past 12 months. Social relationships (63%) and online communities (50%) also contribute to forming and maintaining healthy habits

The future of the health and fitness industry will not only be shaped by the efforts of each individual. Younger generations are increasingly seeking motivation, direction and companionship from both the online and offline communities in their journey to conquer their health goals. In Vietnam, this trend is clearly shown through community health initiatives that Herbalife accompanies – such as Vietnam Community Nutrition Day, the “I am Healthier” contest and community sports programs that we sponsor to connect people through common desires and experiences about health.” Mr. Vu Van Thang, General Director of Herbalife Vietnam and Cambodia, shared.
