Dick Van Dyke may be 100-years-old but the legendary actor isn’t counting! The Mary Poppins actor gave fans a glimpse into how he remains healthy with a new video showing him on his inversion table

“#DVD100 1/2 workout inversion table,” he captioned the video shared on Instagram on August 28, 2026, adding the hashtag “keep moving.”

An inversion table is used to relieve pressure on the back, joints, and nerves by securing the user by the ankles and tilting them backwards. It helps to decompress the spine and can help improve mobility and posture. Watch the video below:

The video certainly got fans talking, with many referencing the deaths in the prior five days of other icons including singer Dolly Parton on August 25, 2026, and actor Tim Curry on August 26, 2026

“This feels like a flex after this week,” commented one follower, as another wrote: “I’m torn between telling him to keep it up and telling him to go inside because it’s not safe right now.”

“Sir, can you just take it easy, we’ve had a rough week,” added a third fan

Dick turned 100 in December 2025, and that same year revealed that he still maintains a full workout routine three days a week that has kept him dancing into his 11th decade, as well as swimming laps

Dick appeared on Ted Danson’s podcast, Where Everybody Knows Your Name, with Ted sharing that they attend the same gym

“I would go to the same gym you did, and if I got there early enough, I would see you literally work out on some weight machine,” Ted said. “And then, almost like you were doing circuit training, you would not walk to the next machine, you’d dance. You literally danced to the next machine.”

Dick has spoken publicly in recent years about his frustration with getting older, and in particular how it impacts the body

“Like my old characters, I am now a stooper, a shuffler and a teeterer. I have feet problems, and I go supine as often as is politely possible,” he wrote in an open letter

But Dick’s marriage to wife Arlene also keeps him young. The pair regularly host Vandy Camps – “whimsical camps and events brought to you by Dick & Arlene Van Dyke – at their Malibu home

The events are a celebration of comedy, vaudeville, and circus arts, with guests learning new skills, watching performances, and hearing from Dick himself

Dick and Arlene met backstage at the SAG Awards in 2006. “Neither one of us can think where the time went,” Dick said during an Instagram Live posted around their 14th wedding anniversary in February 2026

“We’ve had so much fun, been so many places. And I’ve fallen in love with her more every day. I do, I’m telling you. She gets better every day. I wouldn’t even be here; I wouldn’t be 100 years old if it weren’t for her, and that’s no kidding. She’s pulled me through a lot of things.”trending
