There’s always a new wellness trend promising to change your life, but the real test is whether you’re still doing it six months later. That’s exactly what Lauryn Bosstick set out to share in her latest solo episode, breaking down the habits and products that have earned a permanent spot in her daily life
Some of her current favorites are exactly what you’d expect—like a carefully stacked morning routine and an obsession with optimizing sleep. Others are a little more unexpected, from paint-by-numbers sessions with her kids to becoming fascinated by tongue posture.
If you’re looking for a few wellness ideas worth stealing, you’re in luck
The wellness upgrades she’s doubling down on
At the top of Lauryn’s list is Brazilian lymphatic drainage, which she says delivers noticeably different results than other techniques she’s tried around the world. “The Brazilians just know what’s up with lymphatic drainage,” she says, explaining that she schedules treatments before trips and whenever she wants to feel less bloated and more sculpted. She also credits it with supporting recovery after cosmetic procedures and likes that it may help with circulation and skin healing
Another rabbit hole she’s happily fallen into is tongue posture. After speaking with a myofunctional therapist on the podcast, Lauryn has become fascinated by the idea of resting your tongue against the roof of your mouth. She’s even practiced it while mouth-taping at night and says she’s read multiple books on the topic because of its potential connection to breathing, sleep, and facial development
Strength training is another habit that isn’t leaving her routine anytime soon. Lauryn continues to champion lifting heavy weights, saying it’s had the biggest impact on her body composition. “It has changed my life,” she says. “My body composition has shrunk because of heavy lifting.”
She’s also paying closer attention to what her blood work is telling her. After learning her ferritin levels were low, she started supplementing consistently and hopes improving them will support thicker, healthier hair.
She’s turned her morning routine into a habit stack
Lauryn says people often assume her mornings require a ton of discipline, but she sees it differently. Her goal is making each habit so automatic that it takes almost no mental energy.
Her current routine looks like this:
- Start with hydration. Water comes first, followed by a homemade drink packed with fiber, electrolytes, colostrum, minerals, hydrogen, and citrus. She keeps everything lined up so it’s ready to mix in minutes.
- Get protein before coffee. Instead of reaching for caffeine first thing, Bosstick drinks either a protein shake or bone broth to help her hit her protein goals before her first cappuccino of the day.
- Make healthy choices the easiest choices. Every ingredient lives in the same spot, eliminating decision fatigue. “If you put all this stuff next to each other in a drawer and make it easy, make it simple, it becomes a habit,” she says.
- Treat coffee like the reward. Only after she’s hydrated and fueled does she make her signature full-fat raw milk cappuccino, which she shakes with ice in a martini shaker for an extra frothy finish.
Her home is designed to help everyone wind down
Lauryn puts just as much thought into her evenings as her mornings, starting with one simple rule: when the sun goes down, the bright overhead lights stay off. Instead, her family relies on red lights and Himalayan salt rock night-lights to create a calmer environment that signals it’s time to slow down
“You can’t expect your kids to want to wind down or get in bed at 8 o’clock if you don’t, in my opinion, set the tone of the home,” Lauryn says. From bath time to bedtime, the softer lighting is paired with calming music, creating what she describes as a spa-like atmosphere throughout the house
The routine extends beyond lighting. Phones stay out of the bedrooms, blue light is off the table at night, and everyone has space to transition into sleep without constant stimulation. Lauryn even added red lights and salt rock night lights to her baby’s room to keep the bedtime routine consistent throughout the house
She’s protecting her time instead of filling it
One of the biggest mindset shifts Lauryn has made is learning to stop treating a packed schedule like a badge of honor. After reading The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, she’s become intentional about creating more breathing room in her calendar. “I really don’t think hurry is sexy,” she says. Instead of automatically saying yes to every opportunity, she’s cutting back on unnecessary obligations and protecting the things that matter most
That mindset has bled into the way she works now, too. Lauryn now builds in buffer time between meetings and tasks to avoid feeling rushed. “The biggest flex is not being busy. It’s not being in such a hurry. It’s building a life that feels good to you and not being rushed around,” she says
She’s making more room for creativity and learning
Reading has now become a non-negotiable for Lauryn, whether it’s first thing in the morning, before bed, or anytime she has a quiet moment. She even keeps her phone out of the bedroom, making books the default instead of scrolling
Her advice for anyone trying to read more is to not force yourself through a book you’re not enjoying. “If you pick up a book and you’re 30 pages in, and you are not loving that book, and there are no takeaways in that book, put it down and move on to the next book, OK?” she says. She also highlights passages on her Kindle so she can revisit the ideas that stuck with her long after she’s finished reading
She’s also carving out time for creativity in smaller ways. A recent paint-by-numbers night with her family turned into an unexpectedly relaxing activity, giving everyone a chance to unplug while making something with their hands. And when it comes to personal style, Lauryn says one of the smartest upgrades is tailoring the clothes you already own. A few simple alterations, she says, can completely transform the way a wardrobe looks and fits
