Craig, 18, posthumously earned the title of Marine, said Steven Posy, a spokesperson for Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego.
Originally from Texas, Craig enlisted in the Marines on June 1, 2026, according to his service record, which was provided to Task & Purpose

Craig was assigned to Alpha Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, when he experienced a medical emergency on the 47th training day of boot camp. On that day, West Coast Marine recruits take the Corps’ physical fitness test at Camp Pendleton
