Ms. Golz specializes in supporting older adults and individuals living with chronic conditions, including congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, and dementia. Her holistic approach combines clinical expertise with compassionate coaching, empowering clients to improve their quality of life, reduce avoidable hospitalizations, and confidently manage their health while remaining as independent as possible.

In addition to leading TruHealth, Ms. Golz serves as an independent health consultant, collaborating with healthcare organizations and individuals to improve patient outcomes and enhance care coordination. From 2016 to 2026, Ms. Golz served as a registered nurse case manager with the leading health insurance provider Humana. Her responsibilities during this time included coordinating patient care and adapting to new challenges, including a shift from field-based work to fully telephonic care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to joining Humana, Ms. Golz held a similar position at Sisters of Saint Mary (SSM) Health in Madison from 2012 to 2016. In this capacity, she contributed to sustainable home health and care management services, drawing on her clinical expertise to assist patients and families in navigating complex health conditions.
Ms. Golz began her career at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority (also known as UW Health) in Madison, where she served as a registered nurse in several departments including surgery, ambulatory surgery and post-anesthesia care from 2003 to 2012.
Alongside her primary roles, Ms. Golz has maintained active membership in the Wisconsin Nurses Association, reflecting her ongoing commitment to professional development and advocacy within the nursing field.
Academically, Ms. Golz earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh in 2014. She returned to school after many years in clinical practice to aid her transition from bedside nursing into care management — a field that resonated deeply with her desire to provide holistic support for patients and their families.
To augment her knowledge and qualifications, Ms. Golz maintains a multi state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact as well as registered nurse (RN) credentials. Her decision to pursue coaching roles arose after she retired from full-time nursing in 2026; seeking new opportunities to help those in need, she explored various paths before founding her own venture with TruHealth Consulting.
Reflecting on her storied journey to date, Ms. Golz acknowledges that compassion, empathy and a commitment to empowering others have been guiding principles throughout her career. She believes that healing extends beyond an individual’s immediate medical concerns and involves helping them reconnect with their inner strength — an insight that continues to shape both her business model and personal philosophy.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ms. Golz has contributed time and energy to civic organizations such as the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Her outstanding contributions over the years have been acknowledged through multiple honors, including an award centered toward a coordinated care project for pediatric patients at University of Wisconsin Hospital in the early 2000s, Magnet Recognition, Pain Management Resource Liaison and repeat recognitions with Humana’s Star Award during her decade-long tenure there.
Happily married to her husband Ken for nearly 40 years, Ms. Golz is the proud mother of two adult children — Thomas and Taylor — and enjoys gardening, working with flowers and spending time with her family.
