A new series of nature walks near Glastonbury is inviting women to connect with the outdoors

The Well Woman Walks are being held at Shapwick Moor Nature Reserve and aim to promote wellbeing through gentle <a href="https://healthylife7.com/how-regular-exercise-nutrition-can-prevent-cold-by-doctors/” title=”How regular exercise, nutrition can prevent cold, by doctors”>exercise and time in nature

The walks offer a chance to explore Somerset’s wetland habitats while learning about birdlife and conservation efforts led by the Hawk and Owl Trust

Sue, a volunteer warden and walk leader with the Hawk and Owl Trust, said: “Leading the monthly Well Woman Walks at Shapwick Moor with the Hawk and Owl Trust is one of the most rewarding parts of my volunteer role

“The walks provide a welcoming and inclusive space for women to slow down, connect with nature and take time for themselves, while enjoying the ever-changing wildlife and landscapes of the Avalon Marshes

“It’s also been a wonderful way to build friendships and community.”

Designed to be inclusive and relaxed, the walks are suitable for women of a range of fitness levels

Organisers hope to create a supportive environment focused on conversation, connection and personal wellbeing

The project also aims to raise awareness of the benefits of time spent in nature, with growing evidence showing that regular exposure to green spaces can reduce stress, boost mood and improve overall quality of life
