
S.C. (WCBD) – A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new HCA Healthcare Long Point ER in Mount Pleasant will be held on Saturday, followed by a Community Open House and Wellness Fair featuring family-friendly activities
Located at 645 Long Point Road, the ER is a stand-alone emergency room offering accessible, high-quality local emergency care
The ribbon-cutting ceremony takes place on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a Community Open House and Wellness Fair until 3:00 p.m., at the ER’s location
The fair includes activities such as:

Meet-and-greet opportunities with physicians
Health and safety demonstrations
Car seat and bike helmet safety checks
Food and refreshments
Family-friendly games and activities
Children are encouraged to bring their teddy bears to the Teddy Bear Clinic, where members of the care team will perform “wellness exams” to help them become more comfortable with healthcare visits in a fun, engaging environment
The event is free and open to the public.
HCA Healthcare Long Point ER will open for patient care at 7:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 18

More than 190,000 patients received emergency care in one of six HCA Healthcare Charleston Market ERs last year, including 35,000 of those who were children. Overall, HCA Healthcare Trident and Summerville Hospitals cared for nearly 370,000 patients last year.
