SAVANNAH, Ga. —
Police responded to a reported stabbing outside a Planet Fitness on East Victory Drive in Savannah on Monday
The incident happened in the parking lot outside the gym, across from Chick-fil-A, and was reported around 3:30 p.m

Scene active for hours
A large police presence remained at the scene for several hours as officers investigated. Red crime scene tape stretched across part of the parking lot, and multiple police vehicles were still on site as investigators wrapped up their work
Evidence markers were also visible in the roadway, and forensic personnel were seen processing the scene before leaving
Gym remained open
Several gym-goers waited outside during the investigation. Authorities said the incident did not happen inside the Planet Fitness but just outside the building. The gym remained open while police worked the scene
Key details still unclear
Investigators had not yet said how many people were involved. It also was not immediately clear whether anyone was taken to a hospital or whether there were any deaths
