Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is apparently down for whatever is dropped on his plate

“I will literally eat anything,” said Kennedy when recently asked by USA Today’s Swapna Venugopal Ramaswamy for the “most exotic food” he’s eaten

“I don’t have a gag reflex, let me put it like that.”

Kennedy — who spoke to Ramaswamy while promoting his new cooking program, “The Real Food Show,” that he hopes will encourage people to make “healthy, affordable” meals at home — stressed his love for “experimenting” with food

“I love all different kinds of foods. When I travel, I’ll eat, you know — even stuff I find on the street, street vendors,” he continued

Kennedy made a similar brag about eating “virtually anything” back in 2024 but that time he listed three exceptions: humans, monkeys and dogs

Moments later in the USA Today interview, Ramaswamy asked Kennedy if he’s eaten anything others consider to be “gross.”

“Oh, I don’t know,” began the health secretary as he looked away from Ramaswamy and off to his side

“Yeah, I’m getting a signal not to answer that question,” added Kennedy before cracking a smile and beginning to chuckle along with the reporter

The health secretary has a bizarre history with dead animals and was once linked to a photo that allegedly showed him eating a barbecued dog carcass (he denied the claim and Snopes found the animal carcass was a lamb)

Weeks later, he admitted to dumping a dead bear cub in Central Park after ditching plans to skin it and put the meat in his refrigerator (he’d eventually claim he stored roadkill in his freezer his “whole life” in an effort to help feed his ravens)

Family members have accused him of pulling other weird stunts with animals, too. His daughter Kick Kennedy claimed in 2012 that her pops once sawed off the head of a beached whale, strapped it to the top of the family minivan and drove for hours on the highway despite juice leaking into the windows (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration determined this allegation to be unfounded)

In recent months, he’s laughed off a biographer’s reporting on a 2001 diary entry detailing how he cut the penis off of a dead raccoon so he could study it later
